Denny Goforth

With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Denny brings both professional prowess and personal insight to his work. Having worked from a young age to put himself through college, he understands the importance of hard work, discipline and thoughtful financial planning. Denny’s commitment to service carries through to his personal life and is a family affair. Along with his wife and children, he volunteers with organizations like Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and Catholic Charities, making community involvement a cornerstone of their family life. Denny serves as Chair of the Parents Philanthropy Board at the University of Maryland, is a member of the Terp Family Council and the Robert H. Smith School of Business Alumni Board, serves on the Board of Directors for Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and is part of the Parents and Family Association Advisory Board at the University of Arizona. In his local community, Denny is a sponsor and Board Member for Olney Cropdusters Baseball, a summer collegiate baseball league. As a host family for the league, he and his family welcome college players into their home each summer, offering mentorship and support. Through these roles, Denny enjoys mentoring students formally and informally, sharing his insights and experience. Denny lives in Olney/Sandy Spring, Maryland, with his wife of 22 years, Sarah, who is a full-time volunteer at Brooke Grove Retirement Village, coordinating activities with residents and student volunteers. He is a proud father to Benjamin (Ben), Emily (Mae), and Nicholas (Nick), who are pursuing degrees in finance, psychology, and finance, respectively, at the University of Maryland, University of Arizona, and University of Tennessee. Denny’s dedication to his family, clients, and community reflects his belief that service and connection are at the heart of a meaningful life.
